2022 Season Recap

The Dolphins went 0-6, going club this season with nine players. Lexi Lewis and Raven Hampton were the top offensive performers for the Dolphins, hitting .400 and .353 respectively. Additionally, Lexi Lewis hit the only two homeruns with a .933 slugging percent on the season. The bullpen was led by Savannah Birdsong and Selena Quiles. Birdsong recorded 36 strikeouts, with a game-high of 13 strikeouts against the Cleveland Yetis. Quiles caught every game this season, throwing out 5 runners in 6 games.

The season was shortened due to the team's club status. The program held four local players from North and South Brunswick High School, with three players returning as sophomores and one exhausting her eligibility. "We are grateful for the local players who chose to represent their community in our first season back since COVID," said Head Coach Amanda White. "They worked hard with their teammates to get BCC's softball program back on track in an extremely supportive community."

BCC will welcome 14 freshmen and will return 6 players for the 2023 season. "I am especially excited for our incoming freshmen and transfer class," said Coach White. "They are a special group of women who are committed to growing the BCC softball program." The 2023 team will have five players representing four local schools in Brunswick, New Hanover, and Horry counties, along with representing six states.
